I copied the Luftikus.so into my .vst folder, but it also does not appear.

What is not clear to me. How can this interfer with other plugins? Because they are doubled?

If there's a conflict I better do not use it. :|

The Refine plugin is working in Reaper.

If you uninstall the Distrho Ports package(s) from KX it will not conflict

I usually just copy the so files into my home/.../.vst folder if that's possible.

You mean you are unzipping and extracting the Debs to put the Plugins in your home .vst folder?

You won't want them installed system wide by a Debian Package and then also in your home folder..

Yes, usually I just unzip and put the so file into my /home/marco/.vst folder. Is there anything wrong with it?

Oh.. I installed the luftikus deb version this afternoon from the deb file. This is still in /usr/lib/vst. Maybe that's part of the problem.

"Wrong"? Technically no because it is a valid path, but I don't understand why all the extra BS? On my systems packaged Plugins go to system-wide folders and individually purchased or installerless Plugins go into home. DAWs Paths are all set for both home and system-wide folders and usually everything just works. No need to get out a nutcracker..

Ok, thanks. To get rid of luftikus.so file in /usr/lib/vst I can just

Code: Select all

sudo rm luftikus.so

, correct? I mean the installer just copied the file there and nothing else.

After deleting it and putting your luftikus version into my home .vst folder it is found.

Ok solved. I downloaded it from here: https://distrho.sourceforge.io/ports.php and this version also works. Only the version from the KX side does not work.
Also the sizes are slighlty different.

KX version: 3.0 MB
Disthro: 3.1 MB
AVLinux: 3.9 MB
