That's very good! Only, the stereo image seems skewed towards the right a bit? (listening on headphones)

I also thought the stereo image was a bit one-sided, otherwise a very nice piece - especially the flute + harp.

Hello, LM-Guys! Thanks for responce! :) You have a keen ear. Really subjective - there is a shift to the right channel. But according to the signal strength indicator - it turns out approximately the same. The reason for this is that the indicator strongly reacts to the cello, the power of which is concentrated in the infra-bass, colored by the equalizer, but this cello is not particularly distinguishable by ear, but the instruments shifted to the right in the panorama - violin, bassoon - are in the range of tenor, alto and soprano, which perceived by ear more clearly than the infra-bass in the left channel. When mixing, I was guided by the indicator readings, aligned the channels according to it, and such a formal approach led me to an error. Maybe next week, if I have free time, I'll do a remix with a different panning option.

Have good walk on weekend!

You definitely should, imho. An off-center balance can be rather unpleasant on headphones. Especially for people with compromised hearing in the other ear :(

Hi @psyocean , thanks for sharing this beautiful piece. I can only agree with all the others. It's very beautiful and listening to the updated mix, there's a balanced stereo image.

I've only listened to the updated piece, but I like it a lot. Nice panning! :)

Also the composition is very good, although maybe the strings could be more "modulated" (not so flat). The brass sounds really nice!

Thanks for sharing!

Is the link broken? It looks like there's no media to play at that link now, at least for me: from what I remember of your previous posts, I always so an integrated media player I could use to start the music, but it isn't there.

Hi @psyocean , thanks for sharing a lovely piece. Lovely change of lead players. I like the way you use the bassoon.
there is one point, I'd like to mention. In the trumpet section, that begins around 1:08 and is repeated before the end, you play a lot of fifths down in the bass (cello? contrabass?) which sounds unnatural. I know at some point it looks like a puzzle, you have a chord in mind and you want to play all the notes from that chord. There are a few ways to make that sound more "orchestral". Spread the notes more. In the upper voices change what the instruments are doing. Say first the cello plays the fifth, then goes up to play a third/sixth in the next chord and the trombone plays the fifth. Something like that. I hope this doesn't sound too complicated or confused. There are good videos about arranging for orchestra, that show some easy tricks to get you going.
I still like your composition, the harmonies and the instruments. I hope you take my criticism purely as encouragement.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes, Jeanette
