Ironic Twist - "I Am A Man" (pop rock)

Post by Nachei »

I have been postponing writing new material because I didn't have an electric guitar, and I was totally repelled by using synths. Finally, I couldn't help myself, I had to write, so I've conceived this new project, Ironic Twist, for all my synthy endeavors. This song is my first attempt. For some reason, it came out a bit like Sisters of Mercy, a group I never particularly liked. Must be the synth, the 80s somewhere in my DNA...

Made with: Reaper, ZynnFusion, DrumGizmo.

I didn't have an electric guitar,

At first listen I would swear I heard some guitars there :)
Thanks for sharing!

Ironic Twist: I like that for a band name.

So many real guitars in the world, with vast oceans of tonality. and oceans of embattled opinions about them.
I myself like the added versatility that midi-computer-based synth/sampled guitar sounds offer, and enjoy the computer-based effects
to enhance them. Which can be blended with real guitars as the opportunity arises.

On western USA sales, pricing of a useful used electric guitar and Fender usb amp
is under $200. My practice guitar doesn't even need an amp, I use a mono-->stereo_RCA cable
into an old pci soundcard, and whatever eq-amp-sim-effects chain I'm in the mood for.
The guitar itself is worth around $60...
Cheers
edit: I see a Guitar Center has the same model, used, asking $135...hope springs eternal
It was under new $100 when I got it, but that's inflation for you.
