I had this extremly terrible experience with KDE, yes...but it was wayland session and I am suspecting wayland being the source of all evil in the world.
Wayland, and systemd and....ok that joke isn´t funny anymore...sorry
at least there are no 'wayland...' processes, but there are 'x11...' processes.

And about 'systemd', I don't think I can do without on Ubuntu, right?

Yes, right - I guess Ubuntu is based on systemd which cannot be replaced there by any other init system.
And sure, well all don't know for sure, thats why we are doing cross testing.
Just give Artix Linux a try maybe, or any other Linux distribution you allways wanted to try out.
Maybe Devuan would be perfect for cross testing...
good luck and much success!

When I plug OR unplug PSU, an alsa-jack client appears shortly then disappears

I've found that:
https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... 8441563450

After all the tunings I realize xruns occur mainly in Bitwig (but not only). This topic describes the same issue than mine. I can reduce amount of xruns by checking "server synchronous mode in Jackd (Cadence). This option is not really documented. The peaks are still present, but there are less or no more xruns.
Again, when I unplug PSU, no more peaks.

Hey,
first I want to make sure that you understand that I am not making fun of you nor I am trying to attack you in anways.
But I have bad news for you.
First I must say its very irritating for me that some one is quoting himself.
Secondly I can not understand that some one who is using Linux since several years as a pro audio/pro music is not understanding the principles of audio engineering.
to make it short:
if you do not have Xruns but still experiencing audible clicks and pops from time to time it should be clear that you have some kind of digital clipping.
Make sure that you understand the principles of digital audio - professionals should be professional.
make love, not war.
peace
