Some people might remember that I posted a question on what the best way would be to write a new Creative Commons-Licensed music theory syllabus. (Title of thread: "Software to write Theory book?")
Well, this is a follow-up to say that pre-production has started. If anyone wants to be a part of this project, feel free to join the Google Wave, which at the moment is centered around the licensing issue, or help write the table of contents.
To be a part, simply reply to this post, or send me a private message. I will then set you up with the Google Wave and give you writing permissions on the table of contents, which is a Google Doc. These two free services are simply in place until the project is officially hosted.
Thank you in advance for any of your free time you wish to offer.

Hi!
Thanks for the offer. I'm still in the planning stage, but I will get back to you very soon!

Re: Music Theory Book Project
In which state is it?
I am thinking about making a customized theory book out of wikipedia articles and let it print by wikipedia. Why not write the free theory book in hypertext as a wiki? Then anyone could cut all the things she doesn't need and just use the stuff that fits her skills. I mean music theory which you already know quite well is just boring, while the stuff you still don't understand it the hell difficult. And just in the moment you get the point it switches sides and gets boring. Isn't it so?

Re: Music Theory Book Project
I'm curious to hear more. I hope you aren't using the shitty non-free NC or ND terms of Creative Commons, btw…
Will any notation be made with available source files from MuseScore or LilyPond?
