Connections/settings persisting through sleep

Post by yama »

I was playing with setBfree last night. I put my computer to sleep and turned off the MIDI keyboard cause it has an annoying light.

Today I wake my computer up and turn on the keyboard. There was no combination of connections under qjackctl that would make the controller play setBfree. I had to close setBfree and open it again.

Is there no way to avoid this?

Do you use the patchbay function in qjackqtl? That should make the connections again automatically.

When you put your computer to sleep, jackd will be shut down. Most jack aware applications can't handle that.
On the road again.
