Fiori - now mastered by a SC machine

Post by jonetsu »

Now mastered by the soundcloud mastering machine (provided by Dolby), Clear Sky type at 42%

I did not leave the original in place as this is a quick test, not really meant for comparison. During the mastering process one gets to choose which style to use and at which percentage. One thing for sure is that it opened up the original mix. When comparing the original sounded like closed on itself, even dull. I'll try the SC machine mastering again, paying more attention to details.

Cheers.

I enjoyed it very very much, very balanced and relaxing!

I agree, it sounds great already! And it reminds me a bit of what a piece on Florence might sound like.

Oh, this is beautiful. Things are happening all the time. Maybe the guitar could be a bit more mellow, but then again, I am listening on my computer...

Too bad you did not keep the original online, I would have been curious to compare them - I understand that it would not be a fair comparison, since you considered the original a draft, but maybe I would have learned something!

This one is good too. I particularly like how the drums sound.
