[solved] ssl2+ and ubuntu 18.04

Post by durutti »

Hi, new to this forum

I just bought an ssl 2+ audio interface which was immediately recognized by both mixbus6 and ardour6 (alsa).
However I have clicks during palyback. I have tested a range of buffer sizes form 256 to 4096 and the issue persists on both
44.1 and 48 Khz sample rates.

If i connect my 2i2 2nd generation playback the same session runs smoothly.

I am on dell laptop with i5-6300HQ, nvidia gpu and
ubuntu 18.04,5.3 kernel (hwe)

realtimeconfigurationquickscan finds everything ok apart that I dont have a kernel with real time preemption

any ideas?

Edit
Ok i found a similar older post but i would appreciate some guidance how to apply the solution mentioned here

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=21629

Thank you
