After reading the manual and watching 5 tutorials, I still did not understand how to draw a path with bezier curves.
The blender manual is getting on my nerves, most of the time it does not answer my questions.
Its like with brezier curves function you can draw curves. no really ?
Nothing about how to draw something with more bezier curves then just one.
Then finally found a tutorial that did help, its somebody making a 3D blender logo.

Next problem, I had put off for some time now. Blender telling me my vid card can't do opencl.
For those owning an R570 or R580 this is not true.
With help from the openSUSE forum and allot of googling:
The problem is the opensource AMD drivers and even if you install mesa opencl, it wont work in Blender.
The solution for most distro will be to install the proprietary AMD vid card drivers or install the part providing the opencl support.
For my specific case (openSUSE Tumbleweed) I will have to uninstall mesa opencl and install AMD ROCm.
So I will have the opensource drivers with a closed source part added, as far as I understand this.
Then I can tell blender to use both the CPU and the GPU for rendering, which should bring the render times down.
Starting to serious have doubts about array along a path, but I have been doing allot of work, to have a model that I can use for the array.
Lets see how far I will get tomorrow.
Draw the path, array modifyer, curve modifyer and I should have my corridor again.
The worry is about how blender is gonna merge stuff. Worst case I will have to do it the way I was doing it.
Slowly starting to at least understand some of the moddeling in blender.
Still very tempted to do just a straight corridor and be done with it.
But for now not giving up yet.
