Thank you for listening and commenting!
Just some clips (free to use) from some site, I think pixabay (?), that I stitched together in kdenlive.

Thank you! I am also often amazed by the variation and quality of stuff produced on this forum!

Re: Naked God - The Light (EBM/industrial)
Great track and video! Really like the driving synths and guitars, I would second the suggestion for the drums to have more "wallop"... To be honest I don't know much about producing Industrial tracks but to me I'd like to feel a big fat kick drum sample hitting me in the guts.. There is a lot of upper mid range and treble stuff going on but hardly any bass present either as a prominent bassline or a kick. What you have there is mixed very well but the song to me feels like it's been high passed at 250 hz or so..

Good point, something I will think about and correct on the next song. Because I also like those heavy kicks!GMaq wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 6:08 pm I would second the suggestion for the drums to have more "wallop"... Thanks a lot! The videos are always rushed, taking maybe 1-2 hours. But it is fun. One day I am going to put some more effort into the video.
I did it once, doing my own computer animation, based on a 3D armor that I modelled and sold (those were the days). No libre software (except Blender) in this one: https://youtu.be/nSCJia2OEGg. I remember making the song in 6 hours, and spending exactly the same amount of time on the visuals.

Re: Naked God - The Light (EBM/industrial)
@hm11 . Thanks a lot for listening and commenting!
Writing lyrics is nearly always a very intuitive and quick process for me. It kind of writes itself when I have found a theme (which usually comes from the music).
It feels very 90s for me too!
Here are the lyrics:
The light
You fall
fall from the sky
Taste the stench
of years forgotten
Call for me
and I will come
For years on end
I will make you
understand
Call for me
call for help
there is no shame
I will make you
understand
You fall
fall from the sky
there is no need
to feel forgotten
Come and see the light
Walk with me
A world made out of light
Walk with me
Come and see the light
We will show the light
Once you see the light
We will show the light
