I use default kernel (no RT or lowlatency even) and jackd (and jack1) works fine.
But are you using Ubuntu or Debian, or you are using Archlinux and think the kernels are the same?

What you mean by "same"?
They may differ in version, config opts, patches. But userspace interact is the same in common way, otherwise point of linux distros will be less than nothing.

Can you provide any proof of RT kernel and Jackd dependency? Because:
Jack doesn't need RT Kernel. That even said by jack devs: https://jackaudio.org/faq/realtime_vs_r ... ernel.html

And jack works in common distros with stock kernel out of the box. Or Ubuntu (or other distro maker) provides misfunctional application intentional?

And such advices as install RT kernel to fix jack gives nothing, than unnecasary movements and wasted time.

Again not answering my question, assuming that i don't know what i am talking about. In order to apply any RT priorities, your kernel needs to support preemption, like this:

What you see is the default Archlinux kernel. The Debian/Ubuntu generic kernels does not have the PREEMPT option. Without this you couldn't start Jack with Realtime enabled. I cannot confirm now, if that is still the case, but this was a dealbraker 10 years ago.
But even if you manage to start Jack, your system will perform noticeably poorly.

@redu By the way, do you have pulseaudio-module-jack installed?
is this chosen as your default device in jack?

As said in my first message:
Have got two new laptops: Lenovo c740 and HP Envy x360.
Both are equipped with Intel Cannon Point-LP chips.

Anybody here having a new PC with Cannon Point-LP chip set? For reference? Jack wouuld'nt start in these machines of mine? It starts well in all older machines of mine.
