A good 90's era synth pop sound. I agree that it sounds relaxing despite the very emotive vocal performance.

Love the vocals and the synths! Lots of layers in the instrumental to get lost into. The lead at 3:16 or so is really nice too.

Thank you for mentioning the software you used, I just tried out Surge now and it's really nice. Did you use any of the stock patches from Surge? Because I really liked a lot of the synths on the track.

Thank you! After making a lot of simpler synthpop to learn the tools, it was fun to build a more complex arrangement.

Surge is great! And I thought that I would rather learn ONE tool (synth) and learn it well, than use a lot of different synths. I think Surge is really versatile too.

Most of the sounds are stock, with some tweaks here and there.

If you use MusE I could send you the files so you look at what patches I use.

Thanks for listening @crownbird !

No problem! I'm use Ardour, thank you for offering though. I agree, Surge seems very versatile, even though I don't know how to use half the controls if offers. Thankfully the default patches are plentiful and diverse already.

Thank you @GMaq ! Aimed for a Delerium-inspired intro (if you know the band)! :)

I think I already listened to it but forgot to comment. I think it's great, as I always do with the Dreams of Seagulls tracks. I particularly enjoyed the synth work, I think that's a good ad for Surge!
