I like this track. Yes, it could use a bit of polishing up, as discussed in the thread above, but I find it quite listenable as is. I'm not a big House fanatic, so I don't have a huge library of tracks to compare it to. It reminds me of 1980's New Order remixes I used to listen to when I was a teenager. Overall I like the sound, and I like the direction you are taking it.

As an aside, I am also an old Winamp fan and have never really liked the monolithic media players. I have gravitated to XMMS on Linux, with a Winamp skin of course. Never used QMMP, but maybe I'll check it out.

If I recall right, I had an issue with XMMS which I was using before QMMP, also with a winamp skin.

I am starting to become more happy with my track.
Added another vocal sample, which seems to work well in hiding the track is repetitive.
Also changed the loop a little bit.The loop has now 2 small pauses.

Been listening allot to house lately, and in general can't say I am really a big house fan.

One of my al-time favourite tracks is a house track though, but they the made allot of house I don't like at all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxQQ04kN6M4 Yo want this party starting right !

Then there is Hip House, rap over a house track.
Another example of something I do like. ( with public enemy samples and some more to hide its repetitiveness )

Both tracks have something in common, I can't sit still listening to them :P

And another repetitive House track I do like.

Wonder were that piano sample comes from, because I assume its a sample.

I did some google searching, and its not a sample.

Everybody got to the studio, and i wrote the verse and the chorus in the studio. I added a string line by playing half the piano line through a Prophet 2000 string sound. Prophet 2000 was also used for the piano. Roland Jx 8p was used for the bass. Now I know technically better piano sounds have come and gone since that old 32khz Prohet piano sound but none of them sound better to me.

Bring in the dancing girls. :D

Never give up never surrender. My fight, my frustration over failing, has come to an end.

There is more, but what gave me the most trouble, house has 5 - 6 notes in a 4 count at 120-122 bpm.
Going off and on beat.

I was already going off and on the beat, but my "melody" speed was either too fast or too slow. (using 4 or 8 notes)

I started to wonder if my bpm was set wrong, but playing my track along with a few house tracks, told me the bpm and the percussion were not the problem.

It's just a start, but I am beyond happy. Still allot of work to do, not sure if the, its gonna take all night, sapmple fits well?
Why I am so happy ? I am finally starting to understand how to do funk in LMMS.

Am I the only person, who has trouble sitting still while listen to this ?

In my mind, my first gold record can't be far away. :P

Shame I am running out of time, This will not be finished before the best of LMMS submitting date. :(
Which is around today.

It was a fight but finally success. An 80 ties style house track.

Inspired by Kraze the Party which does not have what most house tracks have, the same loop repeating over and over again.
There is a bit of a chorus / verse in it.

This is making me move my head from side to side, a little dancing in place here at my standing workstation. Thanks for the groovin' beat this morning!
