Re: New Dragonfly Reverb beta release v2.9.0
Version 3.0.0 Release Candidate 2 is now available. This fixes a minor bug in which the wrong reflection type is highlighted upon reloading the user interface for Early Reflections.
If no other substantial bugs are reported, this will be promoted to an official v3 release.

Re: New Dragonfly Reverb beta release v2.9.0
I'm using the latest Dragonfly version from KXstudio and found a strange behaviour which I can't explain.
Here you listen the raw sound that enters the reverb bus:
https://soundcloud.com/lilith_93/vienna ... -2/s-vp44e
And here with Dragonfly activated:
https://soundcloud.com/lilith_93/vienna ... rb/s-dRW0v
With Dargonfly the snare is more pronounced in the left speaker, at least that's my impression. How can this be?
The setting I used are:
But it's independent of the settings. Maybe a phasing issue?

Oh weird. Maybe try using much lower early level and early send. The early reflections algorithm uses different response patterns for the left and right channel, it might be coming out more in the left channel with that short, transient snare sound.

Where does the snare sit, in terms of left/right balance, in the original? If it's a bit further to the left (it sounds that way to me after a quick listen), then the reverb will add to that.

I will double check, but I think it's a mono sample. With overtone reverb it's perfectely centered.JamesPeters wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 7:48 pm Where does the snare sit, in terms of left/right balance, in the original? Re: New Dragonfly Reverb beta release v2.9.0
Is it possible that you might be sending the mono snare into only the left channel on the reverb?

Hey Michael
A note.. I made pdfs of all your manuals for offline reference/reading. Nothing fancy, just a quick copy/paste into LibreOffice and saving the file off in the ".odt" format along side. That way i can update the info as/when/if you do so on the site and spit out another. All your hyperlinks are active in the pdfs and on the last page of each manual is a link to the info's corresponding web page.
Thanks again..

Re: New Dragonfly Reverb beta release v2.9.0
Generally with the Dragonfly Room I have the feeling that the more Dry signal is more pronounced in the left channel.Michael Willis wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 8:53 pmIs it possible that you might be sending the mono snare into only the left channel on the reverb?
When using only Late Level it seems that the Reverb starts in the left channel and bounces to the right then.
It's obvious when one only listens to the wet signal, but I guess that's on purpose somehow.

I'm going to have to experiment with this. I don't remember experiencing this myself.lilith wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 5:35 pmGenerally with the Dragonfly Room I have the feeling that the more Dry signal is more pronounced in the left channel.

Anybody else using Dragonfly Room, does this happen to you?

I don't notice that about the dry signalMichael Willis wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 5:49 pmI'm going to have to experiment with this. but the wet signal starts left and then right.
The bigger the room how more it's noticable.
Listened with headphones and noticed a little difference rendered wave form.(medium clear room preset and late on 100%)
on 120bpm you see like 1/64 of the beat max difference. Like 7-8ms.
With maximize room (32m) it was bigger. 1/32 of beat, so difference of 15ms left to right.
Seems like the size of room is only influence on it.
