Simple 'drum sampler' with multi channel support
Is there any simple sampler which would support outputting to multiple channels like DrumGizmo? I have several samples, which are percussion type, but I would like to output them with different set of effects. Sure DrumGizmo would be one option, but if there is something simpler which does not require defining drumkit, but just load suitable samples.

Re: Simple 'drum sampler' with multi channel support
There's at least Sitala, which is fairly simple. I've been using it for percussion in my productions recently, and routing to multiple channels works fine at least in Reaper. https://decomposer.de/sitala.html
Caveats: the linux version is only available as vst, and currently I think only as a .deb package (listed as being for Ubuntu, but works fine on my Debian machine as well).
EDIT: apparently also standalone, but no lv2 support (afaik). And I believe it's closed source (albeit freeware).

Does take some setting up with loading samples, very powerful plugin though

Just checked it in Ardour:This plugin implements 12-instrument MIDI sample player with stereo input and stereo output. For each instrument there are up to eight samples available to play for different note velocities. Also each instrument has it's own stereo output that makes possible to record instrument outputs into individual tracks.
- Drop the plugin on a midi track and a plugin setup appears.
- Choose 26 channels
- Toggle the Fan Out button
- Busses are created and everything is routed for you

What about Hydrogenhttp://www.hydrogen-music.org/?
It has it's own mixer where you can load effects, pan, etc., per instrument, multi outputs. I have samples of percussive instruments and I want them all on their own tracks so I use Hydrogen.

I would prefer any plugin. Having multiple programs makes things complicated: have right files loaded, have connections just like they need to be, etc.funkmuscle wrote:What about Hydrogenhttp://www.hydrogen-music.org/?
