Lunch Time Jazz Improv - Doxy

Post by Michael Willis »

This week our lunch time jazz improv group played from the jazz standard "Doxy":

We didn't have as many players this time, so the sound wasn't as filled out as my other jazz recordings. It clipped a number of times because I had the gain too high, but whatever, it's still fun.

Good times! Your trumpeter is not bad.

And small can be good in jazz, although it's a little harder to hide in a small ensemble. Everyone has to pull their weight when there are fewer voices.
