I'm not sure you understood my two rules. I quickly read the thread. This is a good example of something that gets ditched even before trying. I do not want to be an hero regarding this and save the day. If I want to be an hero, it'll be a hero in understanding how all the plugins I actually have runs and how to make the best of them. I could give a list, but I'll just type a few names of plugins I have that works and that offers a lot of possibilites to be learned: Rob Papen, IK Multimedia, Sonic Charge, KV331, Melda, Voxengo, Tone 2.

As I've mentioned, when I sit to create music it is to make music, not to try to make something work at tyhe software level. It does not work, ditched. It requires kontakt player, ditched, it requires iLok, ditched, etc.
My point was: don't want to spend money on windows stuff, because there is risk it does not work, like that free Spitfire stuff. I spend 1-2 hours trying to get it even installed, and no.

Sure, I can live without it, but if I would spend 150€ to something, I really would be mad not to be able to use it.

The risk is very close to none for me.

Why ?

Because I have tested the demo.

Can't be much simpler.

1) The demo installs easily, no hassles, no worries
2) The demo runs good
3) I like the sounds
4) Bought

I can also add something else. PsychicModulation gave me the latest drum machine, full version, as I mentioned Linux (unsupported), Bitwig, and a problem with keeping presets.

Last week I decided to nevertheless buy it, as a support.

Another thing, MDrummer by Melda Production As I mentioned Linux (unsupported) and a problem running it, Vojtech send me a debug version so I can generate log files and send them back to him. This went on a couple of times with various debug levels. He found the problem after a week. Linux, totally and absolutely not supported ... and still.

Appearances are mostly only that: appearances. In many cases, not always.

Well, you are already using a massive workaround called WINE... :)
To me, wine is the most direct way to use windows plugins in linux.
As audacity is the most direct way to edit audio in linux.
As a daw is the most direct way produce complex arrangements in linux.

The tunes don't even care

One budget-wise guitarist group-buy strategy: buy the Fulltone Collection for $59.95,
it has excellent chorus, delay and distortion pedals (and racks).
Use these with the free Amplitube Custom Shop version, then use
the Custom shop to audition other stomp and rack models of interest,
many of which are under the $59.95 limit. When you are online,
open the Custom Shop (icon on Amplitube gui) and each gear item can
be tested for a 48 period.

This link below is for the gear you can add to the free version of Amplitube:

The Amps selections:

(the very last amp model in the list (newest) is Dimebag Darrel's Roland Jazz Amp 120,
as used in Cowboys from Hell.
That will be my next CS amp purchase, as it will round out my amp model collection.
The Step-Slicer in the stomp section may find me couch-diving for change...
how did I miss it :? :?
