Re: The June / Ladoga
"Ладога" is quite nice, mostly due to the reed (regular oboe ?) sound. Near the very end, at 4:02, the trill sounds way too much like a keyboard playing. With the long tones, it might be a good approach (that's what I do since I played saxophone a long time ago) is to get into the role of someone who plays the real instrument. That person has to breath sometimes. Also, just a little bit of vibrato by the end of the tones can add more realism.
Of course, there's also the approach consisting of saying that's a computer sound and it will sound like a computer. It's a different approach.
"Июнь" however is rather bland I found. It just goes by ... yes, it is for background listening, but this is too literal
Cheers.

Re: The June / Ladoga
That's funny, because I liked "The June" better than "Ladoga"! To each his own, I suppose.jonetsu wrote:"Июнь" however is rather bland I found. It just goes by ... yes, it is for background listening, but this is too literal
"The June" has a laid back feel, like an early 90's new age recording. I like the in-your-face timbre of the lead synth that comes in at 1:03. Psyocean, thanks for sharing all of your interesting tunes.

I agree with you on The June, it sounds a lot like 90s new age records! Very nice.milo wrote:That's funny, because I liked "The June" better than "Ladoga"! I hear some clipping on "Ladoga", be careful

Basslint, thank you!
My ancient computer is also almost from the 90s, I hope after the upgrade of the equipment that I spend at this time,
the clipping will disappear Xeon and Linux it's a power!

Well you manage to make a lot of interesting stuff on that gear, in my opinion your pieces are among the most interesting posted here!psyocean wrote:Basslint, thank you!
