Re: Bicycle Walk
The piece is quite good, the guitar duet is very nice. The mix is also pretty good. This said, it sounds 'standard', but what's wrong with 'standard' anyways ?
The only thing would be with the title. The piece does not sound like a bike ride, with the air in the face, the movments, the fluidity. If it's a bike ride, it sounds more like going at lot uphill In the rain

Re: Bicycle Walk
Jonetsu, hi! Thanks for comment! Sometimes i betray the holy spirit of experimentation to indulge in sweet sin rampant easy music, just to play as want my soul... for drink music cocktail in ordinary day
I agree, maybe the music is not so driving in order to depict speed skating on a bike, as I drive along the highway in the city, but in the countryside I like a slow and thoughtful ride in nature on forestparks.

Re: Bicycle Walk
Nice track, psyocean! This sounds like it was fun to record. How did you do the guitar effects? It sounds like you used a compressor and limiter, as well as the distortion?
I also have written music about cycling, and I often work on my songs while I am cycling or running. Being on a bicycle puts my brain in a creative mode. I think it is the musical rhythmicity of the experience: breathing, pedaling, gear noises, etc.

Re: Bicycle Walk
Milo, thanks!
My "principle" in last years - no soft effect in guitar line, only hardware processors and pedals. Powerful sound in combine: tube distortion (i use "Blackstar ht-metal") + guitar processor (i have Korg). On this track guitar sounded with inner processor in portstudio "Boss Br-800" (bought used in the secondary market very cheap ), it contained version guitar proc "Boss GT-20" + own drum machine module With programmable and factory patterns and sequenced. In improvisations I used factory sound and patterns, in album composition I create authors drum-parts:) Cheers!

Re: Bicycle Walk
Enjoyed this. Only critic really is that towards the end the guitars sounded a bit confused and fought rather than complemented each other.
