Cool song, much more theatrical in its performance than the other Naked God songs, which is probably why I enjoyed it more: the frequent changes in lead singers (screaming vs clean male and female voices) also contribute to the theatrical aspect of it! I would have added some more reverb, though, especially to the strings and choirs parts, which are well written but sound too "barren" to me (in the intro it's particularly noticeable for instance).

Thanks, yeah, it is a kind of mini rock/metal opera! :) It was great fun combining the different voices and make them work together.

You know, I decreased the reverb on those parts very late in the mixing process -- I thought that would make the mix a bit clearer. I might have been mistaken. :)

Thanks for listening and commenting, @Rainmak3r!

Hi, catching up here..

Great collab guys! Nice to see.. :D

I also liked the scream/singer combo, that format reminds me a little of a Canadian band I like called alexisonfire. Great mixing and I was kind of surprised to hear the AVL (Red Zep..?)Drumkit in this context, they seem to work well although I wonder if that big 'Ride shank' cymbal is a little loud in places..

This would be a difficult tune to mix, you both did a great job and I think it was a good blend of your talents, thanks for sharing!

Hi guys, thanks @oscillator for having me! It was a fun experience had to practice quite a bit before I worked up the confidence to record the rhythm guitars :D I hope I can keep the chops for a bit.

9 minutes! Was it that long or did you extend it ? :D

Much more a rock opera now that I hear the final result.
I like the quote you sent from the lyrics:

- Desecrated flesh caressing the world

All warm and fuzzy :D

Yes, it is Red Zeppelin. I run the Multi version, so I can process (almost) each sound separately. And I usually begin making the song with the stereo version. Quick setup!

Thank you for listening and commenting! Mixing was HARD, I had to leave out some additional strings.

You did, I am very grateful for the time and talent you put into this!

Great stuff, and nice chugging on the guitars from @spamatica. The vocals are nice too, baritone cleans plus the coarser harsh vocals remind me a bit of earlier Dark Tranquility. Also interesting how you got a good metal sound for the kick and snare from the AVL kits. Were you using the Red Zeppelin kit, or the Black Pearl?

Yeah, I've listened quite a bit to Dark Tranquility (they are from the same town as I live in), and I really like what they are doing. So thank you!

AVL Red Zeppelin, Multi out version, then I shaped the individual sounds with eq (Calf 5 band eq) and some short delay on the snare, if I remember correctly. I am happy you like them because I think I suck at drum sounds (and many other things).

Thanks for listening and commenting, @Tenaba!

Necromance away! I don't know, this piece has great arrangement moments, the brutal force of Naked God productions that I'm used to.
I can't decide yet whether the vocals are very fitting or a really lovely parody on the topic. Whatever they may be, well done you two!

Thanks a lot @jeanette_c! The line between seriousness and parody is sometimes thin, and mostly up to the listener. I am dead serious with this song, though! :D
