Dub Techno .
Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I had achieved anything in mao.
You can listen to my latest "creation" here: https://youtu.be/skIMzz0B5i8 .
It's a live recording with SimpleScreenRecorder of my mix. I used Bespoke Synth as a midi sequencer and sample looper (super modular software very promising), Carla for synth and effects plugins, Qtractor as a mixer, and ray session to manage all this, all in Librazik 3.
I had a lot of fun making this sound and mixing it. As for the geffon used there are all these in the piece: Surge for bass zebralette, Helm, tyrel, odin 2, zynaddsubfx and noise maker for synths. drumkv1 several times for drums. Tal dub, tal reverb, calf filter, kmeter and maybe others that I forget for the effects.
There is also a boss-re 20 space echo delay pedal and a waldorf 2-pole (a filter that I use to make "lazer-sirene" sounds) I passed the master recorded in Ardour and I put a shot of calf transient designer and calf multiband compressor . Then I switched the audio back to the video in Kdenlive.
Happy listening / viewing!
Let me know if that sound goud ..... or bad !
see you .

It sounds very nice, pleasant sounds!
You have an interesting workflow! And it is cool to see the song as a video too!

Re: Dub Techno .
Sorry to be late to this thread.
Two thumbs up on this track and video! I really enjoyed listening and watching, and it make me envious of all of the knobs you have to play with in your studio. It's really satisfying to watch you turn a knob and hear the resulting sound, for instance with those knobs in the foreground.
Was this performance entirely improvised, or how much did you plan ahead or "compose" this piece? And how long did you tune up and play with the setup before deciding to record?

Re: Dub Techno .
Reminded some JMJ performance like Oxygen indoor tour or Live in your living room.
Love it very much when every sound has a visible source.
Too monotonous as for me, but everything in style.

Sorry if I distracted you with such a nonsense.

Re: Dub Techno .
Hello , I was not on linux musian this last days .
All the midi tracks are made first , and that take me maybe 3 hours of time to compose them , And i've try the mix not a lot of times , maybe for half an hours , and i have record it .
But i know mi setup , this always the same in all mi song , just the midi séquenceur is changing .
But i thinks that can to be more captivating , i have to get better !
I've a question too : there is not too much bass frequencis ?
See you .
The mix , routing effets , modulate synths and open close the midi tracks is not stuctred but not totaly improvised .Was this performance entirely improvised, or how much did you plan ahead or "compose" this piece? And how long did you tune up and play with the setup before deciding to record?

Not simple to be not boring with live mixing dub techno tracks , Just the betters can do that , and i thinks that sort of performance is more distinated to evening events than litening , thats for wy i've made a vidéo .Too monotonous as for me, but everything in style.

Re: Dub Techno .
It depends on what equipment and with what settings to use for playback. For this style or some kind of dark ambient party the basses are quite adequate. For a more pop atmosphere, it can be turned down a bit I think.
Sorry if I distracted you with such a nonsense.

Very nice, what a great session! It's really good to be able to see you perform in the video and to see all the instruments/routing.
