I now haz midi keyboard!
, a kind of pocket device with 2 octaves and not much more, but the first I own. It came with a 12 year old, 32bit, 2x 1.6GHz cpu, 1GB ram netbook, my main xmas gifts. Here are the two at work:

This is about - maxing out the netbook, it's 3 qmidiarp-arp instances driving 2x amsynth with the x42 midi chord plugin somewhere inbetween, guitar through GxAmplifier-X, and some this and that for space & dynamics, in carla, of course. The trick is that I can just finger 4 notes, and it's getting converted into a 4-chord-progression I can then jam to, and if I want, feed a different chord sequence any time, as long as it's in the scale the midichord plugin is set to.
If you want to see unkempt me right the way I had fallen out of bed the day my friends surprised me with the gift delivery, that's here for the moment:

Have fun, and happy new year!

Re: Let there be MIDI!
I have a tiny two octave AKAI MIDI keyboard as well, and I love it! The only thing I miss in mind is a pitch bend level or knob on it, as it would make things so much easier, but apart from that it's a really nice and quick way to get things done or have a preview of the different sounds I play with. Glad you're having fun with yours, and it shows from the video!

These are very nice, especially ditzko, however I think you need to lower the 'busy' background some.

Re: Let there be MIDI!
Congratulations on your acquisition! This is a nice maiden voyage with your new hardware. Towards the end I wanted some variation in the heartbeat drum pattern, but I know this was just a quick jam that needed a metronome drumbeat. I look forward to hearing your new adventures with these tools!
