One day, recording a backing track, another day, jamming over it. First time I'm using the great Red Zeppelin drum plugin, not sure why I had skipped on it before. Could say a lot of nice things about it, yet the whole track is only one and the same pattern, might work on that later?!? On the upside, it's the first time in ages that I've done a song with 3 parts, been so hooked on my fast, loopy 1 night productions.
Enjoy!
P.S. there's a mix w/o the lead, if someone wants to play over the backing: http://alooshu.byethost17.com/again_playback.mp3

Re: again
Nice track, and cool progressions!
My only note would be that the lead guitar seems a bit drowned in the mix (something I can relate to, as it happens to me a lot too )

Re: again
I think the mix is good. It's okay the bury the lead in a rhythm section that good, and I think the lead is easily distinguished anyway.
I really like the sound of this piece. The riff you are playing at about the 3 minute mark is awesome.
I agree that the drums could do with some variation here and there, but I really like your drum pattern. It is simultaneously aggressive and relaxed ... somehow. I dunno how. But it's a cool sound. Add a fill here and there and you really take this to the next level.

Re: again
I like your lead guitar tone and the overall rhythm. Nice jam

Re: again
Hi @forestandgarden, thanks for sharing!
I've listened to it several times. I remember that the first time, when I listened with my headphones, I was thinking "Wow, this is something that could be played on the radio." The second time, on some portable bluetooth speakers (that I don't fully trust: the bass sound is loud, but not clear), I didn't enjoy it quite that much since the bass sound was unclear and covering the lead. I'm blaming the speakers for that I'm now listening a third time with my "normal setup" (just some normal PC speakers, nothing fancy) and it sounds good; the lead is not very loud, but it's clear and I'm enjoying it.
Mixing considerations aside, this is great music. I like how the bass guitar(s) and the drums work together.
