Loki's Children

Post by CraigPid »

I really just wanted to show off my new Paul Reed Smith. The backing tracks were recorded in Ardour and I'm playing through Guitarix.

Hi Craig

Sweet Axe! Nice tune and some great melodic ideas with your trademark vibrato and bends!

It's good to hear that Guitarix easily matches a beautiful instrument in good hands. I'm looking forward to your next PRS-laiden song.

Tasteful arrangement, sparse as it is. Only it sounds a little like a backing track with some nice guitar playing on top. The drums in particular seemed a little bland in sound and in the straight almost loop-like performance. The groove is nice for the a-section, but the other part - in my mind - is yearning for a few accents and interplay with the bass.
I like the instrumentation as a whole though. It's so bare but to the point. There are no blind spots.
