SunVox Tracks
Another track made with SunVox. Everyone who is interested in trackers should try SunVox...pretty underrated imo..
No external mastering done, just plain SunVox.

It's fun to make faster tracks, most stuff I did was around 80-120. This is 174 iirc.

Re: Orbital - DnB (kind of...)
I think you work quite well in the genre! You can hear the influence from your slower stuff and it's nice. More!

Re: Orbital - DnB (kind of...)
The track has a good flow and a nice arrangement: fluid, complete but not overloaded.
Though I have to ask: why didn't you master it? It would have given the song even more punch and polish.
The combination of genre and the sounds is intriguing. The sounds have something tracker-like, which shouldn't be too surprising. So that gives the composition a definite 80s sheen, whilst everything else about it is perfectly contemporary, down to the chosen tempo for a DnB track.

Re: Orbital - DnB (kind of...)
Thanks ... It compressed in SunVox and there's also some EQuing in SunVox, so it's not completely unmastered. I want to learn how to do it in SunVox and how good it can get.jeanette_c wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 5:30 pm The track has a good flow and a nice arrangement: fluid, complete but not overloaded.

Not really into D&B, but I did enjoy this one

Re: SunVox Tracks
Love it.
I'll have to try sunvox again, the last time I tried it I was very into renoise and it wasn't renoise so I got frustrated but there was something I loved about it.

Re: SunVox Tracks
It makes addicted somehow and I can get totally lost in it. And the very cool thing is I can even work on my smartphone and render the tracks there.

Re: SunVox Tracks
Yeah I have it on my phone but I never really got started with it for some reason. I remember being really impressed about the routing/modular aspect of it.
It's funny, for a while I've gone in the exact opposite direction and used modular almost exclusively, that per step accuracy has been replaced the enjoyment of probability and generative outcomes. I need to get back to trackers, I used to love the workflow. I've just ordered a digitakt so I think that per step fun will come back

That looks like a cool piece of software, complete with really satisfying animations.lilith wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 3:38 pm made a screenshot video:

Re: SunVox Tracks
cool work Lilith, what you get out of the prog is really great
... I think your tracks are always neatly arranged and neatly structured ...
you know my chaos with the sunvox modules
