J.S. Bach: BWV853A - prelude in E flat minor

Post by jeanette_c »

Hey hey,
this is another straight piano performance, I've done a while ago. It's played here on the Yamaha 7C library by Sampletekk/PMI, passed through jconvolver using a free lexicon chamber reverb.

The performance, again, is very Gould influenced, in this case rather sparse with an attempt at nice accents. :)
Best wishes and happy Sunday, Jeanette

Very nice, thank you. I haven't heard Gould version so yours is now canonical.
I like how the reverb adds a sense of air without sounding like it has added reverb. Could you share a link to where the IR file could be downloaded? I sometimes use Big Gee's Lexicon 480L but don't see a chamber in that collection.

Yes, a very Gould-like performance. Almost staccato in the opening bars. Very nice recording, and rendered beautifully with your setup.

I just love this composition -- that chord at 2:21 makes me sigh. Ah, Bach!

Yes, that's one of the goose flesh moments. Personally, I got a very strange feeling around 2:40 .
