Hard to judge the master on SoundCloud, which AFAIK compresses tracks to the point that they sound much different :(

I am no techno expert (although I do listen to it, occasionally) but the mix sounds nice :D

Hi,

I like the first part until ~6:30. After that it becomes too long and also the second part does not fit well to the first. Some things I would check in the mix:

1. I don't like the sound of the BD. It sounds as it is layered with a HiHat or something. I think a deep sounding kick without this layered sound would fit better.

2. Maybe a bit too much reverb ... sounds blurry sometimes.
3. The snare sounds a bit boxy to me and it could have a bit more transients.

Overall the mix sounds quite balanced to me. What software and plugins did you use?

thx for critics,

i used (on this old track, its from 2010...) cubase, but now i use Bitwig Studio both win/linux ,

1st, i started with FIGURE app on iphone with the beat, synth 1, synth 2, (3 track app so) , then developped around :

aaaah sample from deus ex 3 game reworked, snare sample from the bomb by Kenny Dope reworked,
plugs : retrologue, Minimoog V arturia <3, oberheim SEM arturia, groove agent, if i remember well,
hards: nord lead 2X maybe, waldorf blofeld sure.

for mastering : acon acoustica 7 <3 with plugs (probably) :

eq LP-10, SSL comp stereo waves, Royal compressor, sonnox Inflator, waves S1, Audiothing Type B exciter, T-racks Stealth Limiter, mainly.

all people says generally the second part is bad/useless... but part 1 is progressive and part 2 more techno, so i let, like if one mix it he mix the part he wants...
