broken 5th proximal phalanx blues

Post by forestandgarden »

So, an IRC friend, and a computer music maker, bumped his pinky hard, was in pain for a night, and when he came back from the doc next morning, said (he's an anatomy nerd):

what really happened was that the proximal phalanx snapped in half
no painful resetting is necessary, nor did my attempts have any effect, because that's not what was going on
but, it will take 4 weeks to heal

sometimes i feel like i got nothing to lose
i take my body for granted, and it i abuse,
but now it seems i've got more than a bruise, i got
that broken fifth proximal phalanx blues!
(imagine that being sung with Bob Dylan's voice)

He's also a big fan of chiptunes.

That is how this accident happened.
............................^song here
Features me singing in bed inlis, could have been 2 instead of 3 iterations, but it's containing some higher level abstract jokes, I swear.

My kids are going to love this! Random nonsense like this is their catnip. I'm almost scared to email it to them, because I might get in trouble with their mother! :)

Too late! They're already laughing hilariously.

Not sure yet if I'm in the doghouse tonight. I don't think she knows yet. 8)
