Hi,
I recorded a song mainly using Ardour, amsynth and some other LV2 Plugins.
I tried to combine heavy energetic with slow emotional parts with focus on the guitar but using synth/samples as support.
It would make me very happy if some of you would like to check it out.

Very very nice and original!

Hey, nice work! I like the merged synth and guitar sounds - lots of interesting things happening on both sides. And as a guitarist myself, I really like your choice of tones, particularly the clean tones. What are you using for guitar effects? My favorite part is the guitar melody in octaves near the end, followed by the unexpected appearance of chords in a funky rhythm. Nice!
What did you use for percussion?

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing

Thank you all for your kind words, I'm really glad you like it.
@milo: I mainly use a very cheap MultiFx Device, a Digitech RP55. It has nice effect unit called Acoustic Guitar Simulation, that's what you are hearing in the clean parts. Beside that I use a LV2 plugin called Roomy for reverb and some stuff like EQ and Compressor from Calf.
The percussion sounds are from a soundfont file I found somewhere but unfortunately I cannot give credit for that cause I don't remember where I downloaded it. But I can of course share it if you are interested.
I also used some table tennis samples extracted from Youtube videos.

The combination of sounds feels very original and works really well. I like the melody/ies too!
Sometimes a bit 70s, other times old Depeche Mode.
Great stuff!
