New LMMS album: Ghosts of your nights

Post by ycollette »

Hello !

I just posted a new album on Jamendo:
https://www.jamendo.com/album/194590/gh ... our-nights

It has been made using LMMS (1.2.1) and Dexed, NoiseMaker and some others plugins.
The samples comes from:
https://freesound.org/
https://archive.org/
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Free_sound_samples

I wait with great excitment the version 1.3 of LMMS. There will be LV2 plugins in this version. And maybe audio recording.

The cover is drawn using mypaint and Libreoffice Draw (I found a bug with hardware acceleration and needed to turn off all acceleration before being able to use draw again).

Best regards,

Yann

Hi,

I haven't listened to all yet but these are some spooky little tunes! They do all go together very nicely. Considering you're using all samples and no recorded material in LMMS I'm very impressed with the dynamics, this is pretty unique stuff compared to much of the EDM styles that come from LMMS. Well done!

Thanks for the comment.
I really like the "spooky" word. Spooky music describes nicely this music :D
I've found LMMS really useful to build quickly ideas. I've tried MuseScore, but MuseScore is too cumbersome to be able to write quickly ideas.
