Nice! I especially liked the transition at ~00:58 and the ending solo. I do agree that the rhythm track tone could use some work, it sounds a bit thin to me - some double tracking could definitely help there.

Also, the world is your oyster for JRPGs on Linux - just install some emulators!

Thank you for the input! I did double track the rhythm guitars, and then hard panned them. Maybe I'd have to look at compression or EQ to fatten up the track somehow. Instead of emulators, even better is native ports. Like Disgaea 2 got ported recently. hopefully we get some more JRPGS ported natively.

Yea, sorry I'm not too much more help in regards to the tones. Just commenting on what I heard, but the lead tones did sound pretty great. Disgaea is good fun, I spent a lot of time on that one years back but never could get back in to it. I love me some Final Fantasy, though, I recently did a playthrough of FFIV (in US it was FF2 I believe) and that was loads of fun.

Hey nice, leaves me still hungry when it's finished at 3:05 :) Listening on small device speakers, and even there, the cymbals are rather too far back than standing out. My favorite transition gem is at 2:20, the guitars following could maybe make a little more space - but all of this is in the green zone.

On a hunch, maybe these folks would pick up on it https://www.rtve.es/alacarta/audios/el-vuelo-del-fenix/
some of my stuff is ending up here https://alooshu.byethost17.com and here https://clyp.it/user/i4p5dng1 , and you can love me at https://liberapay.com/aloo_shu
