I found this quite mesmerizing. Very nice to hear some real-world plucked strings in this style of music.

Very cool. I like it.

The sound is so rich and full that there's not a big need of many other instruments to turn the improv into a piece. And while being so full it nevertheless leaves spaces to weave in other sounds.

I'm using a Line 6 Pod HD500x directly into Ardour (on Ubuntu 18.04).

I chose four delays and 1 reverb. I more or less went with the default settings of each type. My main interest was in creating a nice set of timings.

My base time is a third of a second (333ms). I have 1.5 delays (a tape echo and one channel of a stereo delay) at 2/3 of a second (666ms). I also have a los res delay at close to 2 seconds (1998ms). This sort of timing setup lends itself nicely to a waltz feel.

Then, just to round things out, I put some 'verb on the master bus in Ardour (courtesy of the fine Dragonfly Reverb plugin) -- Large Charmber.
