Hi, I've been experimenting with synthesized vocals for a while; here is the new released track:

I used espeak with a custom voice and sox to concatenate individual utterance samples. See also

Whoever else practices this genre, please post to this thread.
Thanks

Re: Synthesized vocals
This works pretty well. I like the melancholic melody of the instrument that starts at 0:28 and the melancholic feel of the song in general. It sounds in a good sense a little bit like from a 70s soft porn movie . I think the voice is a little bit too loud compared to the rest.
What DAW did you use for this?

Re: Synthesized vocals
Thanks for listening and feedback. Ardour was used as DAW. The "Melancholic instrument" was a sample of word "gone" with faded-in front (so 'g' became very soft) and transposed 2 octaves up via samplv1. Per too loud voice, I tried various combinations of levels, others were even worse. I'm afraid I overdid a bit on percussion in the upper spectrum, and if the voice was quieter it got overtaken by percussion. But it is always interesting to know how other people hear things differently from self.
Thanks
