Nothing special, just had jack_rec running while playing with my One Man Band 3.0 guitar to midi patch over a 7/8 beat.

Re: 1 more demo
That's a pretty good one. Good vibe, good intent, good everything. Just need to be perhaps anchored a little bit, developed somewhat. Can turn revolving around the same groove more or less or can take a different turn. Pretty open but nice base to start with, a good chorus.
The theme reminds of some Jaga Jazzist themes.
Cheers.

I like the feeling of the song, it makes me happy
Its full of energy and sounds super 'in your face' and rough, which is a good thing in this case.

Re: 1 more demo
Funny, that's one of my least developed recordings getting the most feedback . In fact, the intention hadn't been recording an editable 'song' - for that, I'd have to break out the various midi channels my patch is generating, and their respective instruments - but rather demo-ing how guitar-to-midi could allow a single performer to trigger a band-like arrangement by skillfully improvising on his instrument.
Of course, one of the skills that do help in all kinds of impromptu music incl. jamming, is the capacity to isolate little motifs with a hookline potential from one's improvised playing, and to structure one's flow by regularly coming back to them.
My primary aim, then, wouldn't be cultivating song ideas into fully designed productions, but rather cultivating the raw ability to spontaneously come up with song-ish improvisations whenever I please - to which end the effect patch linked in the first post is a rewarding tool, since what it does, is structuring its guitar input into a fully blown synth accompainment, encouraging the player to creatively pick up on his/her own processed input.
