'Our House'

I'm not sure if it's the done thing to post covers here, as the meaning of 'Original scores and recordings' is kind of ambiguous, so feel free to moderate the heck out of me.

Yesterday was the tenth anniversary of moving in to our little mud and straw house which I built with a little help from my friends. To mark the occasion I recorded a version of 'Our House' by C,S,N&Y and made a video to accompany it. You can watch it here http://sandysingssongs.com/index.php?id=wSZ94b1yF0A

I recorded the vocal and guitar in a single take, then created a tempo map in Ardour to match my idiosyncratic time keeping (a feature of Ardour that I love) so that I could program drums using Glen MacArthur and Robin Gareus' excellent Black Pearl lv2 plugin. The bass is DI'd with the new gxsvt preamp form Guitarix.

Excellent work (on everything including the music)! I've commented before on how your house looks like a slice of heaven but I didn't realize it was straw bale construction (I've handled a lot of straw bales in my day...lol), that is super cool! Great performance and production on the song, gotta love CSNY... the harmonies were beautiful, I think they would approve . Great work also on the video editing, and I love the cozy simplicity of the website, much like your house I suppose!

Thanks a lot Glen. Your Black Pearl and Red Zeppelin plugins have been a great boon to my workflow. They sound great out of the box, but it's very handy to have the multiple outputs to tweak things in the mix. I was wondering if you'd thought about combining them in to a single plugin with a simple dropdown to switch between kits?
