Pensive

Post by folderol »

After what seems an age, I've managed to come up with something for the KVR Music Cafe contest.
You can download it here:

Or alternatively just play it on Soundcloud here:

Great tune, I like it. It sounds like it comes directly from the 70s (e.g a more commercial version of old Popol Vuh).
Now I have to google what "Pensive" means... I read "Penis" at first.

Yes, a pensive piece, but not tense. I enjoyed listening.

Reminds me of early Tangerine Dream, back when they used the flute. :D

Hi,
A lovely sonic vista! Would make a beautiful soundtrack piece.. My only minor quibble is I felt the downbeats of the bass notes were a little too deliberate and behind which kind of tugged at the 'upward' flow in a distracting way. All in all another enjoyable piece Will!

Thanks again folks.
@Glen, taking another listen (after have left this alone for a while) I absolutely agree. I can easily increase the attack time to soften it, and will do that later, but will wait till after the voting on KVR is done.
