A new one from me -sort of
This is actually a combination of two very old excerpts from my music 'bits box'. I did put these together previously, but was not happy with the results, and have since lost all trace of that.
This time, once put together and then Yoshimi-fied, it looked far more promising than before... Then I started work on it
So, I hope you will enjoy Ripples in a Pond

I like the chill mood of this one. It makes me want to throw a pebble in and just watch the ripples. Your melodies just jeep going and going for measure imupon measure, almost like a J.S.Bach melody. Very nice, and rare to hear these days.
My one little complaint is that the patch that comes in about halfway through the song sounds a little dry compared to the others which all have some sort of reverb or delay. (Did you use a shimmer reverb effect on some of those patches?) It sounds almost like a straight sine wave, and sticks out like a sore thumb from the others, at least to my ear.

Thanks for listening.
That sound gave me a lot of trouble! It's actually a 'flattened' triangle wave. I did apply some reverb, but with everything else going on I wanted it to sit if front, as it is carrying the melody. With all the combinations I tried, I'm now convinced the right sound doesn't exist!

I just love your textures! I was surprised around 1:51 when the new flute like timbre came in, it reminded me of faiirgrounds. Taking it to a much more earthy place.
It defiitely is music to watch the world happening somewhere. And also well put together, I never had the feeling of two distinct ideas being glued together. It flows!

Thanks both
@jeanny They excerpts were just such a good fit it was a no-brainer. I found it was most important the get the right sounds to seal them as a complete entity though.

Very nice track. Almost sounds like sacred music at times!

A peaceful and quiet reflection, I liked it!
I love the instrument at the beginning, it does feel like a glassy drop of water. I agree with Milo on the instrument coming in at ~1:52: it feels as if it's meant to be a flute, but since there's no reverb/delay it does feel disjointed from the rest, and its synthetic nature appears more. Nice job overall though!

I glad you liked it overall.
It seems I've created a 'Marmite' tune
Some people seem to think that particular sound isn't quite right, while others think it fits perfectly.
What's a poor composer supposed to do?
