PraxisLIVE seems like a promising professional-grade platform for creative coding.
It's written in Java and it seems the codebase is well-organized. The project takes some hints from Erlang and Smalltalk, which in my opinion is a great thing. Since it's JVM based, in the future it will presumably support languages like Scala and Clojure, which might make it a suitable platform for functional audiovisual programming alongside with SuperCollider and its sister frameworks Overtone (Clojure) and TidalCycles (Haskell).
