drum rack plugin

Post by tywjohn »

I have a bunch of drum single hit samples in wav format and I want to be able to assign them to a single midi track. Is there a plugin to make this easy?

I looked at the LSP sampler plugins but they only support a single sample at a time (well its multiple samples depending on velocity)

I think what I'm looking for is similar to the Ableton Live drum rack. I'm using AV Linux but I don't see anything comparable already installed.

Thanks.

Edit: it looks like drumkv1 might be what I'm after. Haven't tried it yet though

An instance of LSP Multi Sampler supports 12,24 or 48 (depending which you choose) per note instruments with eight velocity layers each. If you us the DirectOut versions then each note has it's own audio output(s).

Thank you both. I'll look into the LSP plugins a bit further.

I tried drumkv1 and it does what I want it to do but the plugging crashes ardour. Works fine in carla but would prefer to keep everything in ardour if possible.

Thanks again.

Ardour does not do any plugin sandboxing, but you can run carla-plugin in ardour, and run that plugin there. (Carla does sandboxing)
