Unless Intel Audio, which doesn't play well with GNOME desktop.
If I try to JACK in Ubuntu Studio's "Studio Control", it will freeze.

I would never expect VBox to run audio properly at all, let alone JACK and audio production applications. Try KVM/QEMU instead if you must have virtualisation, you can set up hardware passthrough.
But I wouldn't use that personally either, much easy to use a proper installation perhaps even multiboot a separate dedicated audio production distro. Or use something like AVL-MXE live from a fast USB3 device.
