Hello everyone.
Recently I got myself AT2020 mic and UMC204HD sound card for home studio.
I use latest Linux Mint and I got an issue with inputs. It only shows one input when there is actually two of them:
(Same happens on Windos when I'm unable to use ASIO.)
In Audacity (one input with mono and stereo options):
I installed Qjacktl in hope that it will allow me separate inputs, but it also shows only one single MIDI input.
alsamixer actually shows two of them:
What can I do to separate inputs? I would like to be able to record mic and guitar simultaneously, but separately.
Thanks in advance.

Re: How to separate inputs of UMC204HD on Linux Mint
Where should I look for them? I don't know much about how this stuff works.
Here is a "Audio" tab, there are 2 "capture" and 2 "playback" ports, but I'm not really sure about them. Here is also my settings in Qjackctl
Input device is named "UMC204HD 192k (hw:3)" in a menu. It's an only option that has sound card name in it. How can I get Iput 1 and Input 2 from sound card separately in Audacity?

these capture ports are inputs from your card, both are single-channel
if you use jack, then select jack from devices in audacity (if alsa - then select alsa), set stereo mode then add two mono audio tracks
each channel will be recorded in different track

Is there any way I can record second channel as a separate mono track?

Oh I see.
I read your previous post incorrectly and added stereo track.
Thank you very much.
It's weird that you cant select second input by itself though, but whatever.

You also may consider upgrading to Ardour or some other DAW, where signal flow is more configurable. Audacity works, but can be maddeningly simplistic sometimes in things like this.
