Using plugins that have iLok protection

Post by k410 »

For people successfully using iLokked (sp?) plugins:

Are you using computer-based or cloud authorizations?

Many plugins do not offer cloud authorization, and I'd be leery of possibly wasting a computer-based authorization in a wineprefix (in case something went wrong).

I am using computer based. And when re-installed my OS, keeping wine env, those which were there were locked still, unable to release. So would need to send email to plugin makers to release those. Most stupid thing is free product locked with iLok.

In general, I am convinced that I won't get any more iLok products, regardless how cheap and intriguing they are.
