Most of the iLok plugins not workin anymore
Yeah, I knew that using windows plugins can be problematic, and iLok is cursed even by windows users, so this what I was asking for

Re: Most of the iLok plugins not workin anymore
Thanks, that is good info, but unfortunately that did not fix this problem.luciorgomes wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 3:44 pm I don't know about ILok, but a lot of win vst stop working after wine-stagging updated to 6.15. The problem remains in 6.16. The recomendation is to downgrade to version 6.14.

Re: Most of the iLok plugins not workin anymore
Hmm, not sure what replacement for that in Ubuntu? But ok, anyway I suspect that is not the solution: I have been using iLok plugins with this same wine prefix, and iLok Manager works.luciorgomes wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 5:31 pm Try this:

Have you got something to test iLok with (I dunno what exactly it is: it is "inside" a Windows VST?)? Because you said it used to work fine for you. The dialog screen you posted nags about a hardware change. Did you change hardware or only Wine(-staging)?

Re: Most of the iLok plugins not workin anymore
Yeah, I have plugins. Strange thing is that one works, rest of them, no. And iLok Manager runs ok, I can free licenses, assign them to that wine-env. And there is no hardware changes, and if there would be, running that iLok Manager should fix things. And I am pretty sure plugins used to work with wine 6.4, but not working anymore with it.Linuxmusician01 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 10:44 am Have you got something to test iLok with (I dunno what exactly it is: it is "inside" a Windows VST?)? Re: Most of the iLok plugins not workin anymore
Yeah, having trouble with iLok is not miracle. Unfortunately, I don't think this problem is from wine versions, I have tested with various versions, including 6.4. Or sure, if some wine version would break my wineprefix such way that changing wine does not fix thing. But no, I don't think it is this.Loki Harfagr wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 3:20 pm If I'm not too surprized iLok brings trouble (it used to, every OS any old time) I believe your momentaneaous problem could be related to the recent havoc in Wine after version 6.4, it's supposedly now cured in 6.19 but didn't try (and anyway that's a long time I ditched anything iLoked or similar)

Re: Most of the iLok plugins not workin anymore
Now again, iLok plugins not working. Meanwhile computer has changed, OS upgraded, etc. iLok manager works ok, can add and remove iLok licenses from my wine prefix, but plugins just give error dialog that computer has changed.
Got enough of this fight, I had extra computer, so installed there windows 10 (it can be used without registration), and running iLok + Native Instrument + iZotope plugins there with Audiogridder.
