Mixcraft?

Post by tavasti »

In Humble Bundle there is bundle containing Mixcraft (8 home at cheapest, highest level 9 Recording Studio). https://www.humblebundle.com/software/m ... 2-software

One friend says Mixcraft is great. On https://acoustica.com/mixcraft/download you can get demo version of 9. Looks like working, but for me audio output is not working with any setting, voice is crackling when playing demo projects. Tried all audio engines available, including ASIO (wineasio installed). I have jack and pulseaudio running.

Anybody having any different experiences?

Ok, problem solved: those demo songs are so complex/having plugins/what ever that needed to set jack frames/period to 8192 to get smooth playing. When starting from new track, and made all by myself, 128 frames/period work ok. My test track https://tavasti.fi/~tavasti/mp3/mixcraft_test1.mp3

Looks like easy to use DAW, didn't need any manual to get that done.
