Re: Update broke IK multimedia plugins
If there's no symlink to REAPER in your search path, then just replace the `reaper` with `/opt/REAPER/reaper` or wherever it's installed.Robin Cherry wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 11:16 pm I got "env: ‘reaper’: No such file or directory" in the teminal. I tried REAPER, cockos-reaper, and reaper5 with the same results. I've installed reaper in username/opt/REAPER if that makes a difference.

Re: Update broke IK multimedia plugins
I don't have any IK plugins myself, but they should install just fine I think. Did you try installing them in a new, clean Wine prefix? Or maybe @Robin Cherry knows the trick.tavasti wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 10:24 am For me, 'IK Product Manager.exe' does not even start, it fails with last line:So I can't even get latest version of Amplitube installed.Code: Select all

Re: Update broke IK multimedia plugins
Mine worked after I used the trick hide windows version trick that people use for Arturia plugins. Amplitube 4 was always good but version 5 didn't work until I did that. That being said it always installed fine.robbert-vdh wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 10:40 amI don't have any IK plugins myself, but they should install just fine I think.

From IK multimedia pages, downloads for Amplitube was pointing to Product Manager, but following link 'other versions' there was possibility to download Amplitube directly, and that worked.tavasti wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 10:24 am For me, 'IK Product Manager.exe' does not even start, it fails with last line:So I can't even get latest version of Amplitube installed.Code: Select all

Ah yes, that issue. That's how I installed them as well. Sorry I was confused. Glad you got it working.tavasti wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 6:36 amFrom IK multimedia pages, downloads for Amplitube was pointing to Product Manager, but following link 'other versions' there was possibility to download Amplitube directly, and that worked.tavasti wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 10:24 am For me, 'IK Product Manager.exe' does not even start, it fails with last line:So I can't even get latest version of Amplitube installed.Code: Select all

Re: Update broke IK multimedia plugins
As for Product Manager not being able to download/install plugins, there is a workaround (which I tested only for Amplitube 5 MAX v2 and ToneX MAX). You need a Windows installation for it though.
On a Windows installation/separate PC, install the Product Manager and disable auto-authorization in the download settings. Download the products. It will try to install right after downloading, but cancel at that point. You will find a .zip in the configured download folder, with an installation .exe and some other files inside. This installer has worked for me on Wine for both AmpliTube and ToneX.
They seem to run fine too, apart from not being able to connect to ToneNET for user-submitted presets.

Re: Update broke IK multimedia plugins
It is a lot easier to just go to their web site, log in, go to "Your Products" page, and select "Past Releases" from the product you want to download. (It does contain the most recent release as well.) No need to boot in Windows.

Thanks for that! I did read that it was an option, but always assumed that there were only old releases there.
