I am running Reaper for Linux and am using Qjackctl to run JACK for low latency audio/midi, and using Carla to load Windows dll vsts, namely those I installed from Spitfireaudio.com I was able to install (by installing the Spitfire Audio app via Wine) Spitfire's LABS and also their ORIGINALS and run those in Linux; I was able to install their BBC Symphonic Orchestra but I simply can not find the dll vst for that so I might just remove that off my system. I find the LABS + ORIGINALS makes for a nice orchestral composing template in Reaper for linux.

The setup described above works really nice for have an orchestral composing template using beautiful sounding sampled instruments, in the Reaper DAW. I have pianos, choir, woodwinds, brass, lots of string libraries, percussion, and other instruments. It all works great with no noticeable latency and the instruments are real not synthesized.
If anybody has questions on what I did just reply and ask, I am glad to help.

Re: SpitfireAudio + Reaper for Linux = :)
So I just got BBC Symphonic Orchestra from Spitfire working with Reaper for Linux, sounds amazing. This gives me the possibility of using Linux for most of my daily tasks from composing to browsing to writing, etc. What a difference a week can make-- in about a week you guys on this forum helped me discover Pianoteq for an amazing native linux piano, and I figured out JACK and Qjackctl, and I explored synthetic instruments that are good but then I figured out how to use Reaper for Linux with super high quality actual instrument libraries from spitfireaudio.com so I can do orchestral composing in Linux without having to boot into Windows 10 (which I will do now and then as I have a ton of instruments also from Native Instruments and while I got them to work in Linux along with Kontakt I was not able to have them be 'persistent' between Reaper sessions so they are of no real use to me at this point; I am sticking with Spitfire Audio libraries.
