Most of the iLok plugins not workin anymore

Post by tavasti »

Anyone else using windows plugins that have damned iLok DRM? Last time I used such plugins, they worked fine. Now, some of them work, some not. And I have tried freeing particular license, getting it back, re-installing iLok and even re-installing plugin. No, same result. wine-6.16 (Staging)

Yeah, I knew that using windows plugins can be problematic, and iLok is cursed even by windows users, so this what I was asking for 🙂

I don't know about ILok, but a lot of win vst stop working after wine-stagging updated to 6.15. The problem remains in 6.16. The recomendation is to downgrade to version 6.14.

Thanks, that is good info, but unfortunately that did not fix this problem.

Hmm, not sure what replacement for that in Ubuntu? But ok, anyway I suspect that is not the solution: I have been using iLok plugins with this same wine prefix, and iLok Manager works.

On second thinking and looking what wine logs:

Code: Select all

0190:fixme:secur32:get_mac_algid unknown algorithm 200, cipher 23
So some gnutls packages might be right answer. Now have to find which...
