Step record midi input issue

Post by dftlm »

On step record midi input mode, when I press a key once, MusE 4.1 records two notes, not one, like pressing twice.
I hope and wait for this issue to be fixed.

Yes, happens with me too. "Note off" results in the second note being recorded. Just keep the key depressed for a time, you'll see that the second note is recorded when you release it, with note-off velocity.

This happens with both the latest master appimage and the 4.1.0 appimage.

It seems that step-recording is broken in more than one way:

My C1 key is not recorded as a keypress at all: it just -lengthens- the last-played note (by two steps, once with note-on, then again with note-off).

Or, I can imagine that maybe that's intentional behaviour (the lengthening, not the doubling)?

Maybe we could learn to play keys in the meantime :)

(There seem to be only two active developers currently working on MusE)

It has nothing to do with learning to press keys. This is not improvisation, if I press once, I want to get one note, not two.
Ok, thanks.

I meant playing keys as in learning to play the piano. It was kind of a joke.

Hi, sorry for missing this one.
Should be fixed in github master now.
