Too much possibilities

Post by saturnin51 »

HI,

when I setup a midi track, I choose a jack-device midi x and then the jack-port. I have too much possibilities for the jack-port and except one, a2j UA-25 capture or playback), I never use the others. How can I delete these undesired port ?

Where are they from? Your motherboard? If so, you can probably disable the devices in your BIOS.

Are there too many alternatives in the "Midi Ports/Soft synth" dialog in MusE?
As MusE allows for creating new virtual jack midi devices very easily, that is possible. But in that case you can remove them in the same dialog with the [Remove] button.

If it is somewhere else please supply more information.

OK, I use the MIDI ports configuration to cancel some configurations. It remains just the a2j ports and I don't know how they appear.
A2j is not launched by "My prefered program", neither by Jack. ???

Alright. Strange, I do not know why these ports appear. Anyone else?

It appears that they are created by the a2jmidid program. Maybe try uninstalling that to prevent it from being started?
