New to muse, trying to create MIDI file

Post by lumberjack6 »

Hi,

I'm new to MusE, although I've used Anvil Studio in the past.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to add notes to a MIDI track. I can't find much about it in the PDF documentation, but it could be that I'm not looking hard enough.

Can somebody please help me?

Select the pencil (or press D) then Draw the notes on the piano roll editor. You can also record notes live from an external keyboard, see the video Tutorials on this: https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/wiki/Tutorials

I recommend getting to know the Wiki: https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/wiki (see the menu to the right).

You can also do my beginner's synthpop tutorial on the wiki, so you get a feel for the different parts involved in making a song in MusE: https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/ ... p-tutorial.

If you have any more questions, just ask them! :) Good luck!

MusE DAW running on Debian 11 Testing/XFCE4.
